Meet Gregory Pringle, the oatcake extraordinaire who turned his love for baking into a booming business. As a young boy growing up in the countryside of Cape Breton Island, Greg always had an interest in baking and cooking and spent countless hours in the family kitchen whipping up delicious desserts and snacks for his loved ones.

As a teenager, Greg even sold his homemade treats to friends and classmates. When he was laid off from his job as a civil technician in 2011 he decided to take his love for baking to the next level and turn it into a full-time business.

And boy, was that a sweet decision! With his mouth-watering oatcakes flying off the shelves, Greg knew he had something special. Today, OatCake Society can be found in independent grocery shops and specialty retailers all over Atlantic Canada, and Greg himself is a staple at local farmer's markets.
